Rustenburg Girls’ High School currently has the following vacancies:

The following full time SGB post is available starting January 2022:



  • Maintaining condition and appearance of lawns, grounds and practice fields
  • Laying out and marking of playing fields
  • Mowing, watering and fertilizing lawns
  • Trimming hedges
  • Installing sprinkler and irrigation systems
  • Planting, trimming, mulching and fertilizing flowers, shrubs and trees
  • Keeping grounds free from weeds by using authorized pesticides
  • Keeping facilities and surrounding areas free from trash, litter, debris and leaves
  • Cleaning and maintain equipment and materials
  • Following applicable safety guidelines and procedures
  • Assist in setting up of furniture for internal and external events
  • Performing other duties as required 


  • Ability to carry loads of 40kg+ (essential)
  • Familiarity with sprinkler systems and other landscaping equipment (essential)
  • Knowledge of gardening techniques (advantageous)
  • Knowledge of gardening products such as fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides (advantageous)
  • A valid driver’s license (advantageous)
  • Above average communication ability in written and verbal forms (essential)
  • Prior work experience in a school is an added advantage
