INDOOR HOCKEY – Change to calendar. Matches vs Durbanville on Wednesday 4 March have been moved to Tuesday 3 March (times stay the same).

WATER POLO – Addition to the calendar – U14A, U16B and U19A will play matches against Herschel @ Herschel on Friday 7 February. Times to follow.

SELF-DEFENCE – Coach Chong only has praise for the way in which the Senior girls are learning from him and Mr Haggard. He says: “I was absolutely stunned to see ALL the girls still practising after our session, once the girls had been dismissed. Never in my life have I seen an entire class practising after karate. I feel truly humbled to share my knowledge with these girls”.

Indoor Hockey

Holiday News: Azrah Dick and Rachel Noyce (Grade 11s) were chosen to play in the national indoor PSI tournament during the holidays.
Azrah was elected as Captain and the team achieved 4th place overall. Azrah won the Player of the Tournament award.

Swimming

At the first gala of the year hosted by WBHS on Thursday 23 January at the new WBJS pool. RGHS placed 2nd behind Herschel, out of 8 girls schools participating.

Congratulations to all our swimmers.

Ashlee Pretorius (Gr 9) is congratulated on her results from Champs held in Stellenbosch in December 2019.

She achieved the following positions: 400IM – Placed 5th; 50m Breaststroke – Placed 9th; 100m Breaststroke – Placed 5th.

Open Water Swimming

Sophie Macdonald (Gr 9) and Nicole Rix (Gr 11) participated in the 500m Lamond Open Water Swim event. Nicole placed 3rd and Sophie placed 5th. Congratulations!

Tennis

Congratulations to Lisa Penney (Gr 9) who has been included as the number 1 player in the U15 WP B Tennis Team.
