- Monday 12 April – Winter Sports programme starts
- Wednesday 14 April – Squash starts at Kelvin Grove (Advanced players 15:30-16:30; Beginners 16:30-17:30)
- Thursday 22 April – last day of Term 1 Sport
- Monday 3 May – Term 2 Winter sports programme resumes

Good luck to Isabella Webber (Grade 8); Skye Micklethwaite (Grade 9) and Ashleé Pretorius (Grade 10) who are competing in the South African National Junior Swimming Galas from 14-18 April.
Angel Yu (Grade 8) has achieved outstanding results in the recent WP and Cape Inter-Provincial Figure Skating Championships.
In the Western Province Championships Angel won the Gold medal for ice dance and short program. She placed fourth in her free programme. While representing Western province in the Cape Town Inter-Provincial Competition, Angel came third in her short program and free program and placed first in her ice dance. Congratulations on these excellent results.
Nika du Preez (Grade 11) competed in the Laser 4.7 WP Championship which was held at Hermanus Yacht Club over the Easter Weekend. It was her first time competing in this competition. She achieved a 4th position overall. Congratulations on this excellent result, Nika.
Congratulations to Hannah Hillman (Grade 12) who has been selected to represent the Western Cape Lifesaving Junior Ladies Team at the Inter-Provincial Lifesaving Competition to be held in Durban on 24 – 26 April. She is one of the top 8 Junior girls in the Western Cape to have been selected.
Hannah also competed at a Surf Lifesaving Competition in March and did exceptionally well in her U19 age group in big surf conditions:
- 1st surf swim; 1st Iron lady; 2nd Board.
Rustenburg is very proud of Hannah’s Surf Lifesaving achievements. Hannah is also currently doing her IRB Crewman’s award.
