Squash
The Youth Squash League continued on Monday, 3 August, with both Rustenburg teams in action.
The RGHS 1st Team had a bye this week, while the RGHS 2nd Team took to the courts against Westerford High School, continuing to gain valuable match experience in the league.
Congratulations to all our players for their commitment, determination, and excellent sportsmanship. We are proud of the way they continue to represent Rustenburg Girls’ High School and look forward to their continued growth and success throughout the remainder of the season.

Football
Our Football teams have continued their season by showcasing excellent skill, teamwork, and determination on the field. Their commitment and dedication at training have not gone unnoticed, and their performances are a true reflection of the hard work they have invested throughout the season.
Congratulations to both teams on their continued efforts. We look forward to watching them build on this momentum and wish them every success as the remainder of the season unfolds.

Netball
Our Netball teams had an exciting fixture set up last week for all age groups between Springfield and Rhodes High School
With most games dominated by the RGHS Teams, we were exceptionally proud to see our social netball learners also play their first match as part of the RGHS Netball Teams in this fixture.

Hockey
Congratulations to Kate Naiker (Grade 12) who reached her 150-cap mark for the U19A team this past weekend when Rustenburg travelled to Somerset West to play against Parel Vallei High School.
The hockey this weekend was extremely competitive, with Rustenburg playing 11 matches, winning 4, drawing 2 and losing 5. All matches were won and lost narrowly, making for a very competitive yet fun day out for both schools. Results are below:

Huge congratulations to our undefeated U16A Hockey team, who officially captured the U16 WP GC league title this year with an impressive record of seven wins and two draws across nine games!
As we celebrate their incredible run, we also want to send our best wishes to all three of our top hockey teams competing in major tournaments this weekend (7–10 August): the U16A team as they head to Paarl Gimnasium for the U16 Top Schools Tournament, our First Hockey Team at La Rochelle Girls High School for the U18 Rising Challengers Hockey Tournament, and our U14A Hockey Team at St Cyprian’s School for the U14 Rising Challengers Tournament. Water Polo: Hellfire Pre-Season Tournament
Pre-season jitters are underway as our U/14, U/16, and U/19 Water Polo Teams participate in the Warriors Hellfire Tournament over the next 7 weeks.
Currently, we are in week 2 of our Tournament and enjoying some fun yet competitive chukkers of good Water Polo.
