Indoor Hockey

We had a frantic start to the sporting calendar at Rustenburg, which saw all of our Grade 8 learners have an opportunity to try out for various team sports. With the selection process swiftly and thoroughly completed for Indoor Hockey, we played our first matches of the season on 24 January. We were able to put together eight teams this year, which is one more than in 2023, and several learners joined our social teams as the demand for Indoor Hockey continues to grow. All eight teams had fixtures in the first round, which featured matches against both St Cyprian’s School and Fairmont High School.

We are very proud of the performances we put in, especially considering most of our players haven’t had an opportunity to train with their new teams until match day.

In the 10km swim, she came in position 8, with a time of 2 hours, 29 minutes and 13 seconds. This achievement qualified her to swim in the 2024 South African Open Water National Championships.
