Our first three days back at school started off with the Grade 8 sports trials for swimming, tennis, water polo, and indoor hockey. We are excited to have some new and exciting talent come up through all the sporting codes!

Grade 8 Inter-house Trail Run

The Sports Department kicked off the year with the annual Grade 8 Sports day. We hosted the Grade 8 first Trail Run event in the new houses. There was some great running on display, and it was fantastic to see the school spirit as well as some of the parents supporting on the side of the field.

Sailing

Congratulations to Isabella Keytel (Grade 11) who participated in the 2022 South African Sailing Youth Nationals championship! She sailed in the Ilca 6’ class that took place at the Vaal Dam from 16 – 21 December.

Isabella did not compete in her usual fleet due to minimal wind; she therefore had to opt for a bigger sail for this race! She placed 5th overall in her fleet, out of 24 competitors. What a fantastic achievement, we are so proud of you!

Dance

Izzy Gomes (Grade 10) has been selected to represent Africa in a dance competition in Croatia in May this year. She will be attending with her dance group and has worked extremely hard for this achievement. Congratulations!
