House Awards 2022

Congratulations to the various houses who won well-deserved trophies at our awards ceremony on Monday. We are proud of ALL the houses, pupils, staff and matric leaders for putting in so much effort throughout the year. It is clear that the main purpose of the house system, to foster school spirit and unity, has been achieved this year. School spirit is back at Rustenburg! 

Inter-House Culture Trophy: awarded to the house that has the highest overall points for all cultural activities throughout the year. This includes the inter-house talent show, inter-house singing competition, house plays and inter-house dancing.

  • First – Corvus House
  • Second – Lepus House
  • Third – Cygnus House 

Inter-House Sports Trophy: awarded to the house that has the highest overall points for all the sports activities throughout the year. This includes the Gr 8 sports day, Inter-House swimming gala, inter-house trail run and winter sports day.

  • Third – Cygnus House

Individual Spirit Trophy: awarded to an individual who inspired and made a considerable contribution to school spirit. 

The recipient of this year’s Individual Spirit Trophy is Gabriela Venter

House Spirit Trophy: awarded to the House that has the highest overall points for spirit throughout the year. Points for this award also include behaviour and attendance, in addition to spirit and enthusiasm shown at all house events.

Rustenburg Girls’ House Cup: awarded to the House that has the highest overall points for the year for all events, including sporting, cultural, community and spirit points.
