Congratulations to the learners who were awarded Half and Full Colours for Summer Sports. Your dedication and commitment to your sport do not go unnoticed. Well done on this milestone achievement.

Squash
The squash league fixtures took place on Monday, 4 May, with the Rustenburg Girls’ High School A Team competing against Bishops in a highly competitive and closely contested encounter.
Unfortunately, the B Team was unable to participate and had to forfeit their matches due to several players falling ill. We wish the affected players a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing the team back in action for their fixtures on Monday.
We look forward to continued growth, strong team spirit, and excellent sportsmanship as the league season progresses.

Last week, 23 April 2026, we had our second league fixture take place at RGHS with our u/15, U/16 and U/17 teams playing. Even though we had separate venues, all our learners endured close calls with intense defence from both competing teams.

Hockey
Rustenburg entered an U17 team into the Belgotex Girls Hockey Challenge. The competition was fierce as our team played against the U19A teams from other schools. The learners played extremely well and competed amongst the best teams in South Africa. They unfortunately only managed to record 1 win but were nonetheless impressive, considering the difference in age.

Dance
Congratulations to Hannah October (Grade 12) and her dance partner, Jayden, who competed in the 1st Dance League, held in Stellenbosch Town Hall. They won the Under-21 Latin Championship section, performing the samba, rumba, cha-cha, paso and jive. Hannah also won the title “Queen of Latin”.
