10th Edition of the Champions Cup
We are excited to host the 10th edition of the U16 Champions Cup. This milestone event will feature Hockey, Netball, and an open category for Football, bringing together talented teams for a highly competitive and exciting tournament.

We warmly invite our school community to come out in support as we back our RGHS teams and cheer them on throughout the tournament.
Swimming
Caitlin Evans (Grade 10) competed in the SA Junior National Swimming Championships held from 21–25 March. This prestigious competition brings together the top junior swimmers from across the country.
Competing in the 15-year-old age group, Caitlin delivered an outstanding performance, achieving the following results:
Gold Medals: 100m Breaststroke, 200m Breaststroke, 800m Freestyle, 1500m Freestyle, 200m Individual Medley, 400m Individual Medley
Silver Medals: 200m Freestyle, 400m Freestyle
Bronze Medals: 200m Backstroke, 200m Butterfly
Caitlin is currently competing at the SA National Swimming Championships from 14–18 April in Gqeberha. This open age-group event features the best swimmers in the country.
We wish Caitlin the very best as she competes at this elite level.

Water Polo
Jade Jarvis (Grade 12) recently represented the Rangers team at the Gauteng Invitational Water Polo Tournament. Competing against strong opposition, Jade delivered an excellent performance throughout the competition.
She progressed confidently through the rounds, battling her way to the semi-finals, and ultimately secured an outstanding 3rd-place finish overall.
We congratulate Jade on this fantastic achievement and commend her for her determination and competitive spirit.
Squash
Tara Neville-Smyly (Grade 12) recently competed in the SA Junior Open South Region tournament, held from 20–23 March, where she achieved an impressive 3rd-place finish.
She continued her excellent form by securing 1st place in the U19 WP Junior Squash Open on 12 April. This outstanding achievement has seen Tara ranked as the number one player in Western Province Squash.
Tara will next compete in the SA Junior Top 16 Players Tournament, taking place from 17–19 April in Johannesburg.
We congratulate Tara on her remarkable achievements and wish her all the best for the upcoming tournament.
Hockey
Results vs DF Akademie
Our hockey teams delivered a strong set of results on Friday, 10 April, and Saturday, 11 April, in their matches against DF Akademie. The U19A team secured an impressive comeback win after being 0-1 behind to win 2-1. Congratulations to Jenni Manning, who scored the winner on her League debut. The standout team of the weekend was the U14B team, who recorded an impressive 7-0 win, showing real quality. It was a great start to the league with all 3 A Teams securing wins and bringing home 3-points for the start of their league campaign. Congratulations to our Hockey Teams!
