Over the past weekend, Rylie Hodgskiss ( Grade 11), Evelyn Lindsay (Grade 10), and Sienna Malan (Grade 9) participated in the U16 and U18 Western Province Tennis Trials. We are proud to share that all three learners were selected for the WP team. Rylie placed 6th, Sienna 10th, and Evelyn 14th in their respective age groups.

Our learners displayed outstanding determination and resilience throughout the trials, truly exemplifying the RGHS spirit both on and off the court. Congratulations to them on this wonderful achievement!

Touch Rugby

Western Province Pre-season Touch Tournament

On Friday, 31 October, our Touch Rugby teams proudly represented Rustenburg at the Western Province Touch Rugby Tournament. Despite challenging, windy conditions and the added nerves of playing their first matches since team selections, our players showed tremendous resilience, teamwork, and determination. Their positive attitude and effort were commendable, and they delivered impressive performances throughout the day.

We are incredibly proud of all our players and look forward to an exciting and successful season ahead!

Water Polo

This past weekend marked another action-packed chapter in the ever-busy water polo calendar. On Friday, 31 October, our U16A and U19A teams travelled to Wynberg Girls’ High School for their first league fixtures of the season — a fitting way to round off an intense few weeks filled with tournaments and non-stop competition.

The U16A team opened the afternoon’s matches, showing great energy. Despite a spirited performance, they went down 4–11 to a strong Wynberg side. The U19A team followed with a determined display, keeping the game neck-and-neck until the final whistle before narrowly losing 4–5.

On Saturday, 1 November, our teams were back in action for a series of catch-up matches that had been postponed earlier in the term. St Cyprian’s kindly hosted the fixtures, and the poolside buzz made for an enjoyable morning of competition. The U19A team played two entertaining matches against Springfield and Rhenish, while the U16As faced Rhenish in a thrilling encounter. It was a morning filled with good-spirited play and teamwork.
