On 9 & 10 August, a few of our teachers got their ‘Google on’ when they attended the Google Apps for Education EdTech Summit at SACS.
Teachers enjoyed hands on sessions presented by Google Certified Teachers, Trainers, and Innovators. Guest speaker and presenter, Monica Martinez, all the way from Texas, inspired participants with her wide range of knowledge on Google Apps for Education over the two days.
The summit covered Best Practices in Educational Technology which included: Project-Based Learning, Digital Literacy and Citizenship, STEM and Coding, Innovation in Leadership, Movie Making and Digital Storytelling, iPad Workflow and Creativity, Screencasting and Podcasting, Latest apps for Instruction, Virtual Reality Tools in Education, Connecting beyond the classroom, Exploring the world with Geo Tools, amongst other topics.
Our teachers found the two days jam packed with exciting resources and tips and left the summit inspired and very eager to try out the new things learnt!
