RGHS 1st Team 2 – Springfield 1st Team 4
The 1st Team played so well against a very determined Springfield team. We scored first through a goal from Sarah Firth, but Springfield responded quickly by equalising a couple of minutes later. Caroline Schreiber played outstandingly in goal and ensured that their constant attack was thwarted, denying Springfield the goals they looked for. Courtney Wheeler scored the 2nd goal for RGHS
Player of the Match – Caroline Schreiber
RGHS 2nd Team 2 – Springfield 2nd Team 3
The 2nd Team have progressed nicely this season and have settled into playing some good Indoor Hockey. Josie Malherbe scored both of the goals for RGHS in a tight match that could have gone either way.
Player of the Match – Tyra Ingold
RGHS 3rd Team 0 – Springfield 3rd Team 3
RGHS 1st Team 2 – Westerford 1st Team 3
In a tight match that could have gone either way, RGHS conceded goals through basic errors and lost 2-3
We scored the first goal from Gemma Watermeyer hunting off far post for the tip in, but Westerford equalised quickly through a well taken field goal.
After Westerford scored two more goals through their penalty corners, RGHS responded by improving their game and scored through a penalty corner of their own, by Sarah Firth, and pushed until the very last minute to try and equalise
Goal scorer and player of the Match: Sarah Firth

The Rustenburg 1st Team Water Polo attended the St Peter’s tour to Johannesburg from Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 March. Ms Goble who was the manager for this team had this to report:
“We started off the tour with a brilliant draw against St Anne’s. On the second day, we played 3 matches, winning 1 and losing 2 (against two of the top teams in the country). On Saturday morning, we played our best game of the tournament where we beat Wynberg 2-1 in an absolute nail-biter. We then lost to Rand Park which placed us 5th in our pool. This is the highest Rustenburg has ever ended in the pool stages. We went on to play in the Bowl Quarter Final where we lost to a very strong St. Mary’s team. Sadly, we did not play off to get placed but we did play a friendly game against Chisipite that was enjoyed by all the girls. It was a wonderful way to end off an exciting tour. At the prize-giving, we were awarded the Fair Play Trophy. This trophy goes to the team that showed the most sportsmanship and continuous fair play in the tournament and we won it out of 28 teams. It was a fantastic end to the tour as the girls were very respectful of all teams and refs, and it was a nice acknowledgement of their attitudes.”
