Habitat for Humanity 25-hour Cyclathon

The Habitat for Humanity Cyclathon took place at the Waterfront on 25 and 26 January. It was organised by Rustenburg but was a collaborative effort between Rondebosch, SACS, Westerford, Springfield, Herschel and Bishops.

The Habitat sub-committee and committee worked tirelessly over the past few months to collect prizes and organise the event. It takes a huge amount of courage and humility to ask strangers for money. The committee members were phenomenal in their efforts and the 32-degree heat did not dampen their spirits. In 25 hours, the team raised over R55 000.

We would like to thank parents, staff, donors and learners for their help and support at the event. Special thanks go to the learners and parents who offered of their time to entertain the crowd, take photographs and support the event. Ms Voskuil and Ms Gideon stayed the night in very uncomfortable conditions to ensure the safety of our girls- thank you!
