Dialogue Day on Implicit Bias

On Thursday 11 April 2019, staff and students at Rustenburg engaged in the second official Dialogue Day of the year titled Implicit Bias. The discussion started with Explicit vs Implicit attitudes, how they affect our behaviour towards others and what we can do to be more aware of these.

The students participated actively in these sessions and lead the conversations. The session focused on the unconscious mind and how it controls our attitudes and decisions.

“We enjoyed that fact that we could stay in our form classes. This made our class grow closer and learn different facets, never seen before in our high school careers. “ From Victoria King, E5.
