Many hours of preparation and hard work came together on the 18th of April at the Cultural Society’s annual dinner.
Around 80 students, staff, family and friends from different cultures joined to celebrate our own unique heritage. The theme of the dinner this year was District Six. The decorations that were inspired by the Bo-Kaap filled the Thompson Hall.
The foods served were all traditional South African dishes and the abundance of entertainment added to the already vibrant atmosphere. We were entertained by our very own Jazz band as well as two incredibly talented poets. The night ended with a fun-filled quiz about South Africa.
The whole night was planned and organised entirely by the Cultural Society who put a lot of effort into making sure the night was successful.
