Rondebosch Boys’ High School music department combines with RGHS to present a CONCERTO FESTIVAL. This Festival features talented musicians selected from both schools who will play one movement of a Concerto with a small chamber orchestra. They will be conducted by Gerrit de Jager who led the schools choral event, Vivaldi Gloria which was held in the City hall in 2008. The programme consists mainly of Baroque and Classical works with a variety of instrumentalists performing. This uplifting programme will last approximately 90 minutes.

Rustenburg girls will be performing at this very popular festival, along with Marimba Bands from a range of schools as well as the special guests "amaAmbush SIYEZA". It will be held at the Baxter Theatre on 15th and 16th May. There will be a mass marimba band on both evenings. The Rustenburg Girls will perform on Friday 15 May at 19:45. Tickets cost R60 and R35 (students), or R100 for both evenings.

Rustenburg will be represented in 6 different sporting and cultural codes at the upcoming Girls Schools Festival. The festival runs from Thursday 30 April to Sunday 3 May and is being hosted by Pretoria High School for Girls.

Rustenburg will be represented by 2 teams of 4 swimmers at this years Robben Island to Blouberg swim crossing. Gigi Hock will also be participating as a solo swimmer. The swim is due to take place on Saturday 25 April, with the alternative date being Sunday 26 April in the event of really rough sea conditions.
