New Deputy Principal appointed at RGHS

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Miss Gillian Blackshaw to the position of a second Deputy Principal (Pastoral), with effect from January 2012. As Rustenburg develops and grows and as we continue to realise the vision of the school and encourage our pupils to fulfil their potential in the many spheres that Rustenburg offers, we need to ensure that we are able to sustain, grow and manage the areas we offer optimally.

Mrs Schnetler, who has been responsible for a number of portfolios as Senior Deputy, needs to be able to devote specific, dedicated and innovative time to fewer spheres of responsibility/shared responsibility. This she will do by concentrating on areas involving the academic programme of the school and all it entails, and work with the respective staff involved in those areas.

Ms Blackshaw will concentrate on areas involving discipline, leadership and extra-mural activities, and will work with the respective staff involved in those areas.
