On the of the 6th August, the Interact Committee from Rustenburg Girls’ High visited Huis Lukhoff in Rondebosch and Place of Hope in Athlone. Place of Hope is a women’s shelter (NGO) that provides a place of safety for women and children coming from abused families.

The toilet drive that we’ve been running was in aid of these two places and we delivered them along with cake and biscuits.

Each year Rustenburg celebrates the achievements of its learners in many different areas of school life. 2009 was no exception, with many talented and exceptional young girls being rewarded for their efforts. The school leaders for 2010, as chosen by their peers, were also announced.
