On Wednesday 12 June, tangible excitement filled the school as Rustenburg welcomed an entourage from Spud 2: The Madness Continues, as assembly guests.
The group included four cast members – Troye Sivan (Spud), Sven Ruygrok (Rambo), Genna Blair (Mermaid) and Alex McGregor (Christine) – as well John van der Ruit (author) and Donovan Marsh (director and screen writer).

On Tuesday the 26th of March the Grade 11s of 2013 set off on a highly anticipated leadership camp at Mizpah near Grabouw.
Fourteen Rustenburg Grade 10s went on the Outward Bound Camp during the April holidays. Outward Bound is a Nation Building Camp that is aimed at improving one’s self-confidence and independence.
Rustenburg once again had loads of talent on display at the Interact Talent Show that took place on the 1st of March 2013.
On Valentine's Day (14 Feb 2013) Rustenburg joined the worldwide One Billion Rising Campaign, and rose up against rape and violence in our communities.
