Rustenburg High School for Girls endorses the idea of a well-rounded and balanced education, with the intention of sending into the world compassionate, understanding and resourceful South African citizens who display a solid work ethic and can contribute positively towards a community.
Much of this is achieved through strong extra-curricular involvement. Learners acquire important life skills through their participation and commitment: good sportsmanship, camaraderie, leadership, the ability to respond to criticism, friendship, co-operation and a wholesome, healthy outlook.
In order to apply for the position of prefect, learners have to demonstrate how they have contributed enthusiastically and meaningfully to the ethos of Rustenburg High School for Girls.
At the end of Grade 12, learners are issued with a formal school testimonial which documents the extent of their involvement in extra-curricular activities.
