Music Workshop - "Be Wise, Improvise"

The Music Department’s annual Music Workshop will take place on Wednesday 6th May and will focus on ‘be wise and improvise’ with Nicky Schrire, a well-known Cape Town jazz singer with her accompanist at the piano. Nicky attended school at Rustenburg Junior and Westerford, and graduated at UCT College of Music studying with Anthea Haupt and Natasha Roth. She will present an interactive jazz workshop to all music learners (GET and FET bands), Grades 8 to 12.
This is the only event of the year where all the Muso Rustybugs get together to enjoy Music and Music making mostly for the fun of it. You are welcome to join us if interested. The Music Fundraising Committee will be selling refreshments as well as special Mothers’ Day gifts, so be sure to bring extra pocket money. There will be 3 CDs as prizes: Vivaldi’s Gloria, a mixed bag of music by Haydn and the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto.
This is definitely not an evening to be missed!
