Carol Service 2009
WEDNESDAY 9 DECEMBER 2009, KEMP HALL, 19:00
Service includes: GRADE CAROLS including Silent Night sung in parts by the Grade 11s, CONGREGATIONAL CAROLS with descants sung by the CHOIR and accompanied by the ORCHESTRA, LESSONS to be read by learners in Grades 8 – 11, CAROLS new and old will be sung by the CHOIR, including a set of three Carols on the Virgin Mary written by the South African composer, Peter Klatzow for SSA (Chamber Choir), flute (Olivia Gordon), harp (Jane Theron) and bass, Grant McLachlan’s much-loved Carol Come Colours Rise will be performed by the CHOIR and the ORCHESTRA, and SAVUYISA will accompany the GENERAL CHOIR in the well-known Carol of the Drum.
Bring a gift for a needy child, teenager or pensioner and a COLLECTION will be taken for various Charities at the Service.
